Questions From Our Readers
Some questions arrive in our inbox again and again. So we have collected the frequent ones on a single page, with short answers. If yours is not on the list, the Drop a Postcard page explains how to ask.
Who writes Vanalleswa Living?
A small team of three writers using pen names. Each looks after a group of subjects and reads the others' drafts before they go up. You can meet them on The Studio Team page.
Why does the journal mix home and travel?
Because our readers' lives do. The same person who is planning a bathroom renovation is often also planning a summer trip, and the two meet in surprising places: leaving the house safely, recovering from a long flight, setting up a room you are glad to come back to.
Are the health articles medical advice?
No. They are general pieces about everyday habits, written by people without medical training. They are meant to help you ask better questions, not to replace a professional. Please talk to a GP, pharmacist or travel clinic about your own health, and get urgent help for urgent symptoms.
Can you recommend a tradesperson or a specific product?
We do not make personal recommendations. Our home articles explain what to look for and what to ask, so you can judge the people and products available where you live. Electrical, gas and structural work should always go to suitably qualified professionals.
Do businesses appear in your articles?
Yes, some articles mention companies by name and some were prepared together with outside businesses. Those pieces are edited for clarity and tone like everything else. A mention is never a guarantee, so do your own checks before buying or booking anything.
Where do your article ideas come from?
Many ideas come from readers. Others come from our own homes and trips, or from questions people keep searching for. We focus on subjects where a clear, practical explanation is genuinely useful.
I found a mistake. What happens next?
Send us the article title and what you think is wrong. Whoever wrote the piece checks the point, and if you are right, the article is corrected. Corrections are the first thing we deal with when the inbox is busy.
Is my reading on this site being tracked?
No. There are no analytics, ads or tracking tools on the site. The only thing stored in your browser is your answer to the cookie card. Details are on Privacy Matters Here.
Where should I start reading?
